MEET THE SCIENTIST
BEHIND THE BLOG
I’m Mollie — a molecular biologist turned beauty blogger and the founder of The Beauty Lab, where hype meets research and your skin gets smarter.
Before launching this site, I spent over a decade in the lab running experiments on hepatitis B compounds at Johnson & Johnson, publishing peer-reviewed research in Developmental Cell, and editing scientific manuscripts for researchers around the world.
Now? I use that same research brain to break down skincare ingredients, trends, and product claims — so you don’t need a Ph.D. to understand what actually works.
Here, you’ll find science-backed skincare advice, evidence-based product picks, and zero tolerance for fluffy marketing claims. I dig through the research so you don’t have to—and I translate it into clear, fun, no-BS content that helps you build a routine that works.
Welcome to the lab.
